Which phones support eSIM in 2026

eSIM hardware has been in mainstream phones since 2018, but support varies by model, region, and OS version. This guide lists the major eSIM-compatible devices in 2026, called out by manufacturer.

Apple — iPhone

Apple has supported eSIM since the iPhone XS (2018). Every iPhone released since then is eSIM-capable. The notable distinction in 2026 is the US eSIM-only models:

  • iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max — eSIM-only in the United States, dual eSIM + physical SIM elsewhere

Samsung — Galaxy

  • Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, S25 series — eSIM + physical SIM
  • Galaxy Z Fold 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 — eSIM + physical SIM

Samsung Galaxy A-series typically does not support eSIM — it's reserved for the flagship S, Z, and Note lines.

OnePlus

  • OnePlus 11, 12, 13 — eSIM in supported regions (EU, North America)
  • OnePlus 9 Pro — eSIM in T-Mobile US variant only

OnePlus disables eSIM in mainland China and India regional variants regardless of hardware.

Xiaomi

  • Xiaomi 12 onwards (Global / EU ROM) — eSIM enabled

Xiaomi China ROM and India ROM disable eSIM. Buying a Global ROM variant is the only way to access eSIM on Xiaomi.

Tablets and watches

iPad Pro 11″ (2018+), iPad Pro 12.9″ (2018+), iPad Air (2019+), iPad mini (2019+) and recent iPads support eSIM with cellular models. Apple Watch Series 3+ with cellular, Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE models, and Pixel Watch 2 cellular all use eSIM.

How to check your specific model

On iPhone: Settings → General → About — look for "EID" (eSIM Identifier). If EID is present, the phone has eSIM hardware. On Android: dial *#06#. If an EID appears alongside the IMEI, eSIM is supported. If EID is missing, the phone has either no eSIM hardware or it is regionally disabled.
